Release notes
This is an overview of the release history of simpleContact Pro.

Version 2.1
simpleContact Pro 2.1 extends support to all worldwide languages with UTF-8 text encoding. Please note:
- The minimum requirements are revised – PHP 5 and MySQL 4.1 are now the earliest compatible versions
- Although the application will handle other languages, the interface and documentation are in UK English
Other changes include:
- Included jQuery updated to version 1.7
- Included PHPMailer updated to version 5.2
- Added PHP UTF-8 library
- Tested against Firefox 7 and 8
Version 2.1 beta
A pre-release build of simpleContact Pro 2.1 is seeded to a group of customers.
Version 2.03
Minor update to version 2.02.
simpleContact Pro is also now exclusively available for purchase through CodeCanyon.net. CodeCanyon customers can get the latest version by logging into their account and downloading the application. Customers who bought the application from simplecontactform.com can get the latest version from the support page.
- Fixed a reported SMTP port bug, which was introduced in version 2.02
- Fixed a couple of typos in documentation
- Included jQuery updated to version 1.6.4
Version 2.02
This update incorporates some improvements based on feedback on the support forums.
- Added [email] merge tag to autoresponder (makes the hack tutorial obsolete)
- Added an option in the config file to disable version check (makes the hack tutorial obsolete)
- Backticks fix for hyphenated database names (makes a previous workaround obsolete)
- Fixed a couple of links that referred to file locations in version 2.0
- Fixes to admin page titles
- Included jQuery updated to version 1.6.3
- Tested against Firefox versions 4,5,6 and Internet Explorer 9
- User guide pages are included in the application download
Version 2.01
This update improves Pro's presentation, fixes some bugs, adds some requested features and adopts the new site's look and feel.
- New logo, colour scheme and favicon
- Replaced all underscores in file names with hyphens
- All links updated for simplecontactform.com (also fixes error on line 1 bug in update check)
- Fixed a layout problem on the contact fields admin page in Internet Explorer 8
- Tested against the Google Chrome web browser
- Various CSS improvements
- Improved code consistency between form processor scripts
- Fixed a rare issue that could cause the installation script to fail
- Fixed a bug where if contact form autoresponse was turned off, double opt-in message was not sent
- Included PHPMailer updated to version 2.0.4 for PHP 4
- Included jQuery updated to version 1.4.4
- PHPMailer and jQuery moved to sc-admin/libraries folder
- Changed sc_admin/csv folder to sc-admin/export
- Statuses e.g. Inbox (100 messages) added to admin page titles
- Added SMTP port option to config file
- Inbox CSV export
Version 2.0
Launch release of simpleContact Pro. The “2.0” version number is assigned to distinguish it from simpleContact Lite.

- Browser-based admin with messages inbox
- New form builder which supports custom fields

Minor changes in comparison to simpleContact Lite 1.2:
- Refactored password reset (includes a fix for a minor bug)
- “Blank slate” page with suggestions is shown when inbox is empty
- Logo and miscellaneous layout / copy improvements
- CSS adjustments for Firefox 3
- New versions of jQuery and PHPMailer
- Documentation is an HTML file, rather than a PDF
- Links to support forums
- Containing folder removed, to prevent misunderstanding about what should be uploaded
- Rating form removed from logout screen – moved to documentation
Version 2.0 beta
