  1. Hi, please bear with me as i am new to all of this!

i need to make some visual changes to my simple contact form

here is my form at the moment

    http://www.gite-adore.co.uk/contact.php

my original layout can still be seen on

    http://www.gite-adore.co.uk/contactus.php

i want my simpleform to look as close to the original form as possible.

i have tried making a few changes to the css but his does not seem to change the look of the form at all and im not really syre why. Im am much better with html so if there is a html way of making changes this may be better for me.

i hope you can help as i seem to have hit a stand still at the moment

    thanks nikki

  2. Hi Nikki,

First things first: The links in the head of your page to the JavaScript files are broken. If you fix them the JS validation will work.

Am I right then in thinking that the page with the green background behind the form is the new one?

I've noticed a couple of things to start with:

    1) The "Fields marked with * are required." message is in an unclosed font tag.
    2) The fields have no borders. Their border-width value has been set to none in the CSS. I'd suggest changing it to 1px.

What other specific changes would you like to make to the form layout?

  3. Hi Thanks for your help! ive managed to correct the java script problem! and make alot of the changes now - the main problem i now have is the css is affecting the page header!!!! i gather it must be one of the margins or padding - do you have nay idea which one would do this? sorry im not very good with css!

  4. There is a padding of 3px on the a selector in screen.css. Remove it and your header should look right.
